Lori has a B.A. in Psychology from Baylor University in Waco, TX. She has also received an M.Div. in Theology from George W. Truett Seminary and an M.S.Ed. in Community Counseling from Baylor University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and Licensed Professional Chemical Dependency Intern. She has an integrative style of counseling and can work with adults, children, teens, couples and families from all walks of life.
Lori specializes in working with people that come from difficult backgrounds or have experienced traumatic events. She particularly enjoys working with individuals who have issues related to: addiction (including sexual addiction) or the family dynamics of addiction (i.e. co-dependency), spirituality (faith issues of any religious preference), depression, betrayal, and chronic illness. Also, she works with more severe mental illness, grief/loss, anxiety, aging, and marital/parenting issues.
Lori is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, Texas Counseling Association and National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC). She is also a Certified Pastoral Counselor (C.P.C.) and Certified Life Coach through Dayspring Institute.
Lori appreciates spending time with her family and their ménagerie of animals, swimming, playing tennis, and pulling weeds for stress relief. She also enjoys reading historical fiction, playing the piano, and designing houses.
