About Me

EDUCATION:

Bachelors of Arts in Psychology  with a minor in Management from the University of North Texas.

Masters of Arts in Licensed Professional Counseling  from Dallas Baptist University.

BACKGROUND:

While earning my undergrad, I had an opportunity at the Center for Psychosocial Health Research to be a research assistant and helped doctoral students gather and analyze data.

There, I was given an opportunity to create my own study and present my findings at the Association of Psychological Science. It was at this time, I truly felt a calling from God to help others through counseling. I soon earned my Masters degree in Professional Counseling. While earning my Masters degree, I began to serve at Mission Arlington. There, I counseled individuals, couples and young adults from varying backgrounds and ethnicities with a variety of struggles: anxiety, depression, trauma, marital concerns and much more. It was a privilege and an honor to walk with my clients through their struggles to alleviate their pain, remove strongholds, help them gain confidence and assurance, discover insight and self awareness, peace, and comfort regardless of their circumstances.

MISSION:

My heart is to be a vessel for healing and restoration through Jesus Christ. I will empathetically walk with and honor individuals through their difficulties and hardships. Clients will learn healthy coping skills, gain effective emotional regulation skills and develop a healthy outlook on life. Together, we will create uniquely specific goals to restore, mend and heal what is broken.

As a counselor, I am guided by my faith and my goal remains to walk alongside each client to help them achieve greater emotional, physical and spiritual wellness. Our counseling session will be a time that is centered and focused on your goals. If a client asks for a Biblical perspective, I am willing to provide such insight. The counseling journey is yours alone, not mine. I’m looking forward to walking with you to seek healing in broken places, provide hope and look to our Father to show us the way.
