I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapist. I am also a certified facilitator for Prepare/Enrich and SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts).
As humans, we all experience pain. The source of your pain can look similar or different compared to others, but it is still unique to you. Do you often feel overwhelmed by your circumstances and desire relief? Do you feel burdened by stress and performance-based pressures? You are not alone! Sometimes our pain manifests as anxiety, depression, conflict, grief or identity crisis. Whatever your circumstance or however deep your pain, it is important to have a safe, non-judgmental and neutral place to share your story and seek healing. My desire is to see you experience the love and fullness of Christ in an authentic and practical way, even in the midst of your struggles.
I currently work with adult women and couples planning for marriage. I believe self-awareness is key in paving the way for understanding and healing. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients make sense of their circumstances and recognize the impact on their feelings, thoughts and behaviors. I use EMDR to help clients get unstuck from trauma and reconnect with themselves and others. I take an integrated approach in counseling, gleaning from the psychological and Christian perspective. As a licensed professional I do not push my beliefs on you, but recognize the strength Christ gives me to help others. I look forward to seeing you in Plano or online via telehealth.
