I enjoy working with kids and adults of all ages; I have spent the last 8 years gaining education and experience with individuals through opportunities including working at Kanakuk Kamps, being a full time nanny, serving in children’s ministry, and working for student ministry.
Beyond working with people in ministry settings, my counseling experience thus far has allowed me to gain exposure to those who are enduring effects of childhood sexual abuse, trauma, drug and alcohol addictions, self-esteem & identity issues, abandonment, and parent-child relationship issues.
Relationships are important to me, and are a big part of what I believe impact mental and spiritual wellbeing. My passion is to build a meaningful relationship with you while creating a safe place for you to gain insight, understand yourself better, and work through difficult feelings associated with shame, guilt, depression, or anxiety. I believe that my place as your counselor will be not to help you “get over” your pain, but to help you as we work through the pain - together.
My desire is to glorify God in all that I do. I believe He is the One who continuously gives grace, loves unconditionally, is the ultimate healer, and has made a way for us to be free of all guilt and shame through knowing His Son, Jesus Christ.
