Bachelors degree from the University of Connecticut; Masters in Professional Counseling from Amberton University

Dolores utilizes an Eclectic approach including Restoration, cognitive behavior, and Exposure therapy as instruments of change. With the many psychological approaches, Dolores understands and holds to the position that true healing and wholeness comes from the power of the Lord, Jesus Christ. The Christ-centered approach relies upon the infallible Word of God and the power of prayer to surpass the limitations of man. Dolores has worked with adolescents and troubled youth for over twenty-five years with the state and county juvenile justice systems. She has conducted kinship home assessments for youth who have been removed from their homes by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Serves, and has conducted home studies for families who desired to adopt or become foster parents. As an active hcurch member in her home church, Dolores had been involved with the nursery ministry for over ten years, and presently facilitates a grief group for her home church. She is experienced in working with individuals and families from a diversity of backgrounds. Dolores has been married for over thirty-seven years and has raised three (now adult) children.

God has blessed Dolores with a heart for the hurting adult and adolescent, and a burden for the family.   She has a passion for couples who are seeking healing from the trauma of infidelity and adultery, and for those who are grieving the death of a loved one or other losses in their lives. Dolores recognizes that there are many individuals who are wounded and have carried these wounds for many years, and desires to be an instrument of God's healing grace through the counseling process.
